What is a beam?
Beams are structural elements meant for the construction of large structures. AGESIA’s beams have three basic functions, allowing an optimal structural engineering:
- they transfer loads
- they connect sandwich panels
- they have integrated functions
Customised beams
AGESIA’s beams are entirely custom-made. While developing the beams, we take into account the needs of the application and the three aforementioned functions.
Material selection
At AGESIA, we work with glass fibre / PA-6 organosheets to construct beams. This material has some major assets in comparison with thermosets:
- strong and robust
- transformable and flexible
- sustainable and recyclable
- allow extra short cycle times
- high stability
- lightweight (50% lighter than steel, 30% lighter than aluminium)
- resistant to high temperatures, fire and corrosion

Unique production process
We’ll implement our newly developed technology to create composite beams, meant for the construction of lightweight structures. Moreover, new tubing production methods show excellent results in terms of strength, stiffness and creep.
Applications
The AGESIA beams and AGESIA panels can be joint. The panels and beams are ideal for the construction of transportation equipment, such as trailers, ISO containers, chassis for electrical vehicles or transportation tooling for the aerospace industry.
