What is a sandwich panel?

The AGESIA structural panel consists of a core which is ‘sandwiched’ between two thermoplastic organosheets.

Material selection

We use high-end PA-6 organosheets instead of UD-tapes to produce structural composite sandwich panels. These organosheets have a glass fibre content of 65%, which results in a unique combination of properties:

Unique production process

AGESIA developed a (patent-pending) continuous panel production machine to manufacture thermoplastic composite panels.

1. The thermoplastic organosheets and the core are joint via special techniques.
2. The thermoplastic composite sandwich panels can be formed and several features can be integrated to realise cost-effective solutions.
3. The connection systems are integrated to ease welding.
4. According to the AGESIA engineering philosophy, sandwich panels are structural components.
